The Incubator is part of a larger effort to pass on knowledge of the process of product development and commercialization.
Two Incubator advisors, Fred Mermelstein, Ph.D. and Carl Novina M.D., Ph.D., have co-edited a book entitled, Biotechnology: From Idea to Market, which describes the fundamentals of due diligence and commercialization processes that are the learning objectives of The Incubator.
Indeed, The Incubator was an inspiration for the textbook. It is highlighted in the Introduction and is described in Dr. Novina’s chapter on translational research in academia. Those interested in learning the basics of biotechnology will find this text invaluable as a guide through the complex process of drug development.
